History

The Biligiriranga Mountains generally known as B R Mountains is a wide range of hills located in south-eastern Karnataka. Tamil Nadu in Southern region of India is at its border. The place is known as Biligiriranga Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary or in short it is BRT Wildlife Sanctuary. Under the Act of Wildlife protection in the year 1972, it is one of the secured sources. Being at the confluence of the European Ghats and the Southern Ghats, the retreat is house to eco-systems that are exclusive to both the hill varies. In the year December 2010 the website was announced as Tiger Reserve forest.

Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple

It is located in these Mountains. The Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple is devoted to God Ranganatha. The regional name of the God is Biligiriranga and the deity is proven as being in a status place.

Dodda Sampige Mara

Rewrite-The holy place of worship is located about 4 km from BR Mountains. The shrub gets to up to 34 m in size and is about 20 m wide. This is a sacred website. Many lingams are placed towards  the back area of the shrub.

BRT Wildlife Sanctuary

Weather And Best Time To Visit
