In the state of Uttarakhand in India is a small hill station named Chaukori that is located in district of Pithoragarh. It is surrounded with the Himalayan Range on the western that are part of Kumaon Division. Tibet is in the north of the hill station and inthe south of the hill station is Terai. It is on the India and Nepal border and to the east of the hill station is the Mahakali River.
The snow covered mountains like Nanda Kot andNanda Devi are visible from this hill station and gives a mesmerizing experience to its visitors. There is a small hill station Berinag that is just 10 km from Chaukori.
Infused with the magnificent view the hill station Chaukori is part of Pithoragarh district. The view of sunrise and sunset can be viewed from the Himalayan ranges that surround this place. The Panchchuli peaks also can be viewed from this station which has a glorious view.

How to Reach
By Air
Pantnagar is the nearby aerodrome to Chaukori.The Airport is about 205 kms away from the Chaukori. The visitor of the Chaukori hill station can be reached from the airport by hiring taxis that ply from airport to Chaukori. It is also well accessible to through roads that are part of Uttarakhand.
By Rail
The closest rail line to Chaukori hill station is the Kathgodam railway station. This place is well accessible through few of the important places Lucknow, Kolkata and Delhi. The railway station that acts as the gateway for the Kumaon region is the Kathgodam and is also very near to Chaukori hill station. The visitors can take buses and taxes to reach Chaukori hill station from the Kathgodam railway station.
By Road
Another mode of transportation that can be used to reach Chaukori hill station is by road that is well connected to many of the cities in the northern part of India. Buses can be taken from ISBT Anand Vihar in Delhi to reach Kathgodam. The further journey from Kathgodam to Chaukori can be covered by hiring a taxi a taking the local buses.

Dharamghar
One of the nearest places to Chaukori is the Dharamghar. The followers of Sarla Behen and Gandhi Ji have spent the last days of their lives in Dharamghar. The Himdarshan Kutir gives an enchanting view of the Himalayan ranges.
Berinag
A village that is just 10 kms from Chaukori hill station is the Berinag village. This village has numerous mountains covered with snow. The former name of this place was Bedinag because of the temples dedicated to the snake is part of this village. The village also produces the superior quality of tea. The surroundings of the Berinag have dense forests and there is also huge vegetation that surrounds the village. The numerous waterfalls around the village make this place more beautiful.  The village is also famous for its flora and fauna.

Though the weather of Chaukori is pleasant throughout the year but the favorable time to visit this place through March till June and another time is from September till November. The people can come and relax here as this is a silent place.

The options to stay in Chaukori hill station are very less. Few of the places that can be used for staying are the Tourist Bungalow named KMVN and a Rest House called Panch-Chull. The hotel that is good for the stay in the Chaukori hill station is the Himshikhar Hotel. If one doesn’t find any accommodation to stay in Chaukori then they can look for options in Berinag that is only 8 kms from Chaukori hill station.
