By Air

The closest airport to Pangot is the Pantnagar airport that is just 58 kms from Pangot. It takes around 1.5 hours to cover the distance from Pantnagar to Pangot. One can take taxi from airport to Pangot at a minimal cost of 600 rupees.

By Rail

The closest rail line to Pangot is the Kathgodam and is just 20 kms from Pangot and thisdistance can be covered in just 30 minutes and taxis can be hires at a cost of just 300 rupees.

By Road

It is well connected by NH – 87 and buses and taxis can be hired from anywhere to reach Pangot.

Places to Visit

Guano Hills

One can take walk through the Thick Oak forests. The Oak also accompanies the Bamboo and Deodar trees. The bird watchers can have movement of capturing the grey woodpeckers.

Snow View Point

The famous point that is visited by the visitors in the Snow View Point. The place gives a best view when it is a clear sunny day and when one can view the Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot peak clearly.

The weather in the Pangot remains pleasant throughout the year. The winter season is welcomed along with the heavy snowfall during the months from November to February.

The summers are in the months from March to May and the temperature in the summers is in between 27 to 10 degree Celsius.
The rains go through the months of June to September. The winters last from November to February and the temperature during winters can go as low as minus eight degrees. A heavy snowfall is also experienced during winters.
