Moreover, this place is very rich in endangered animals as well and some of them that are found here includes- barking deer, elephant, pangolin, sambar, leopard, four-horned antilope, mouse deer, wild dog etc.
Wildlife
One of the biggest problems is that this place is having very less population for the tigers and this is mainly because of the naxalite activities. According to the market research that was performed in year 2009 shows that there are only six tigers present in this reserve. The comprehensive report that has been prepared by the department of forest shows that it is almost impossible to do the inspection of the core areas because of the naxalite and terrain.
Another issue is that there are only 65 elephants and you would also get to view some of the animals like Wild dogs, leopard, sambar and gaur. People are recommended to go through the Betla National park list. Koel Northe river runs and this is one of the prominent reasons that water is accessible to the human beings. You can easily find some of the 140 bird’s species and that is inclusive of Peafowl.
