Igatpuri By Train
Tapoovan express connects the lgtapuri railway station and Mumbai VT station. Major railhead is at kasra. Kasara to lgtapuri takes about half an hour by taxi and costs about rs. 300

All the neighbouring cities are connected with lgtapuri by Maharashtra road Transport Corporation. Buses connect Mumbai, nashik, kasara tourist buses are available from Mumbai to kasara, which cost about rupees 500.

Tringalwadi Fort
The majestic fort of 3000 feet, the tringalwadi fort’s steps and walls still stands in fine condition. Kasara is yet another census town situated in the thane district of Maharashtra, India. Popularly known for its twisting kasara ghats, this busy town lies on one of the main routes leading to Mumbai i.e. the Mumbai-Nashik route. An important railway station on the Mumbai Suburban railway, kasara serves to be the final stoppage point in the north-east sector for the central line.

The place has nothing special to offer except for meeting the basic demands of people like petrol, food etc.  With the blooming paper industry one can easily grab some POP items or catch hold of the local delicacy i.e. a vada pav.
