By Rail
Rishikesh is the nearest rail head to reach this hill station. Dehradun is also at the same distance from this hill station. Trains are available from both the station to the rest portion of the country. Rishikesh is located at 83 kilometers and Dehradun is at 60 kilometers.
By Road
Road journey is also accessible. From Delhi (Kashmiri Gate), frequent bus services are also available upto Rishikesh and Dehradun. From Rishikesh, taxies are available to take passengers upto hill station.
Places to See
Barehipani and Joranda Falls
These are the most viewed and visited waterfalls of this hill station. Barehipani is approximately 400 mtrs high and Joranda fall is approximately 150 mtrs high.
Dashavatar Temple
This temple is the main seat of Lord Vishnu. This temple was constructed in the reign of Guptas. In this temple, Narayan Bhagwan, Vishnu Bhagwan are seated
Deogarh Fort
This fort is most famous fort of this area.The construction of this fort was completed in 16th century near Pratapgarh. Total 52 forts in the Uttarakhand are constructed and this fort is one of them.
Matatila Dam
This dam has popularity in this area. Various water sports are organized here. The beautifulpanoramic views and surrounding beauty attracts visitors here time and again.
Jain Temples
Kanali fort of Dahanoulti covers a number of Jain Temples. In ancient period, this place was the center of Jainism. In this period, 31 Jain temples were constructed here.In these temples, jain mythology is described very well.
