When we say Rajasthan, what are you reminded of? The beautiful palaces, the majestic camel rides? Heroic legends and romantic stories; vibrant culture and fascinating heritage? Or is it simply all that's mentioned above? Yes, the 'Land of Kings' for you is all these and more.
Rajasthan

Rajasthan, an incredibly beautiful state found present in the northwest of India is one timeless wonder, that no travel connoisseur should ever miss paying a visit to. All of antiquated architectural marvels standing tall as examples of Rajasthan royals' richness, it is that place on planet which has something in offer on its platter to all the tourim buffs. Come, let us sojourn through this lovely state and learn of all things in detail . . .
The Historic State's Topography
Situated towards the country's northwest, Rajasthan is the largest state by area in the Republic of India. The state covers about 10.4% of India and covers an area of 342,269 square kilometers. While the Pink City Jaipur happens to be its capital, Mount Abu in the Aravali Range happens to be the only hill station of Rajasthan. The northwest part of Rajasthan is quite dry and sandy and most of it is covered by the Thar Desert.
The Clime of Rajasthan
The climate here is divided into the seasons of summer, monsoon and winter and the weather is mostly dry except during the monsoon season. Summer months happen to be the hottest of all with the temperature reaching up to as high as 48°. It is only Mount Abuin Rajasthan that remains pleasant during this season.
What language do you get to hear the Rajasthani's speak?
While it is the language Rajasthani that's widely spoken, Hindi and English are extensively used too. You'll get to hear a few from the older generation converse in Sindhi as well.
Colourful Culture and Delectable Delicacies
Talk about Rajasthan tourism and forget to make a mention of the vibrant culture and lovely cuisines of the state? That can never be possible. The state of Rajasthan boasts of great richness in culture and traditions. While the music and dance in practice among the locals of Rajasthan are extremely vibrant and catchy, the place is also renowned for some very beautiful artworks. The traditional clothes are multi hued and artistic and are mostly covered with rich and beautiful mirror work. In all, for all the art lovers out there, Rajasthan is nothing short of a paradise.
Some of the important festivals celebrated here include Holi, Teej, Deepawali, Devnarayan Jayanthi, Sankranti and Janmashtami. Also, once a year the RajasthaniDesert Festival, camel fair, and cattle fairs are also held in the state.
Rajasthani cuisines are often a bit dry, courtesy: effect of constant scarcity of water and fresh veggies in the region. However, they are extremely yummy. Some of the traditional varieties include: Daal baati, bail-gatte, raabdi, bajre ki roti (millet bread) and lashun ki chutney, mawa kachori and rasgollas of Bikaner. Never fail to relish them while at the place!
