Ratan Villas, Mount Abu
The Ratan Villas is situated from Nakki Lake at a distance of 7 kms. As the name suggests, the place is much heavenly like with the peaceful surroundings. It is among the Aravali Ranges, where the mount Abu is also found. Resort of Ratan Villas offer luxury that is possible while people are in the weekend vacation or wildlife tour. Camps and cottages fit to be found in the forested regions are located in the park as a means to promote tourism, as seen in the Ratan villas since 2009 October. This is the only camp, which is found adjacent to this sanctuary’s periphery. The resort was aimed at balancing and conserving the ecology between man and nature and proves that the tourism can be properly utilized for conserving nature, if done effectively. It teaches to respect and nurture the natural habitat, for those who are used to urban environment and rekindle the love for natural habitat. It has been the purpose of Ratan Villas which has been located in sanctuary’s edge in Rajasthan. Located inside a thick bunch of trees in a private estate, there is a valley visible from the northern boundary. The Nakki Lake is located at about 15 minutes drive from the resort. Inside the camp are 4 skihar tents with luxurious bedrooms and 8 luxurious cottage bedrooms with verandahs attached to the rooms along with bathrooms. The make of these tents is in the form of ‘tenta’, which were built for Maharaja of Jodhpur, a century back, used mostly for hunting purposes. These tents were also used for accommodating guests of the kings and for royal and Vice regal visits. Tents are quite flexible for being erected even in the most distant of places.
