Location
Ganapatipule is situated approximately 375 kilometres to the south of Mumbai lined up with Konkan coastline. By Air
Belgaum is the only airport in close proximity located approximately 299 Kms far from main city.
By Rail
35 Kms far from the city is located “Konkan Railway Bhoke”. On the other hand, Ratnagiri is a convenient railhead at a distance of 45 Kms. 
By Road
Mumbai-Ganapatipule route is 375 Kms, Belgaum-Ganapatipule road is 299 Kms and Pune-Ganapatipule is approx. 331 Kms.  Moreover, buses depart from Ratnagiri, Belgaum and Mumbai to Ganapatipule.
Temperature And Weather
Climate of Ganapatipule beach village is typical coastal with humid, temperate and warm temperature. Summers are usually hot and sizzling with a maximum temperature of more than 38 degree.  Regular rainfall is very common in Konkan region especially during monsoon season. Winter is lovely and pleasant with endurable and moderate days but cool nights. Gauri Ganapati and Magh Chaturthi is celebrates like a big carnival with much devotion and enthusiasm. More often, period beginning from October till the end of February is best for visiting this beautiful and lovely village of Maharashtra.

Velneshwar
Velneshwar is a beautiful villages situated to the north of Shastri River in the state of Maharashtra. Ratnagiri

Malgund
Malgund is small village around 1Km far from the main city and popular among visitors as birthplace of well known Marathi poet and writer “Keshavasuta”. Born in the year 1866, Keshavasuta gained popularity as a person who signed the dawn of existing Marathi Poetry.  Moreover, there is a headstone in Malgund city dedicated to the remarkable work and devotion of Keshavasuta. Jaigad Fort
Jaigad Fort rests on the cliff at the entry of Sangameshwar River around 35 Km far from Ganapatipule. This fort of 17th century presents a commanding and superior view of sea and a unique outlook of Konkan village. To reach this beautiful destination, visitors can follow back route from Ganapatipule through Malgund. This is approximately 15 Kms with an extremely scenic and attractive view all over the journey.

Light House was constructed in the year 1932 and since then, this operational edifice is attracting great number of tourists every year. To have a complete internal view of Light House, you can visit this place between 4.00 pm to 5:30 pm. This place is around 6 to 7 kilometres from Jaigad Fort.

Festivals
Konkan coast is known its long queue of festivals but, most popular among them is “Magh Chaturthi” and “Gauri Ganapati”. Magh Chaturthi is celebrated on the 4rth day of lunar month known as Magh. Local residents celebrate this day as birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha.
