Monuments In India


Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya in the Bihar State comes to one’s mind as one thinks of the best monuments of India, with the first temple constructed by Emperor Ashoka in 260 BC, where Gautama Buddha emerged with his mission of Buddhism in 531BC, is a wonderful location to be visited.
As one travels through the capital city of Delhi one would be excited with a number of monuments, which include

TajMahal is the ever admired Heritage site and great monument of India, which was built by the Emperor Shah Jehan , which is one of the seven wonders of the world, while Agra Fort, FatehpurSikri premises of the Emperor Shah Jehan, are thrilling sites which any world travelerwould love to visit.
The temples of Chola Empire, Mahabalipuram Sculptures raised by Pallava kings, Shree Meenakshi Temple at Madurai having wonderful architectural works in a 1000 pillared mantap, and a number of shrines with ancient sculptural skills exhibited in each of them stand as wonderful monuments of Tamilnadu in the Southern Part of India.
A traveler would admire the artist's admirable works in Sun Temple of Konark in Orissa, and also the Khajuraho group of Monuments in Madhya Pradesh raised in Chandela period during 10th Century AD, which are wonderful heritage sites standing as remarkable monuments of India.
