Middle Button Island National Park



Middle Button Island National Park is found in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and is a national park of india, with a total area coverage of about 64 sq kms by this parkland.
Spotted deer is one of the prominent animals found in this park. Long Island is the nearest town to this national park, which is situated towards the southern side of Port Blair. The Middle Button National Park is about 60 kms from the city of Port Blair. National park of Middle Button Island can be visited by the tourists by hiring a boat tour, although private boats for visiting the park can be arranged.

History
North Button Island National Park
This national park is about 60 kms from the town of Long Island and from the Port Blair airport, it is 200 kms, Port Blair being the capital of the island. Spread over an area of 44 sq km, the park was established in the year 1979.
Animal life in this park consists of water monitor, dugong, lizard, dolphin, etc. The park is visited during the months of December-March.
Middle Button National park
Established in 1979, the park is having a spread of 64 sq km in the district of Andaman. From the nearest town of Long Island, this park is at about 60 kms, which at 200 kms is situated the airport in the city of Port Blair, which is also the capital city. Deciduous forest is found in most of the island while the animal fauna comprises of monitor, spotted deer, marine animals and lizard. Visiting the national park is best during the period of December till April.
South Button Island National Park
This national park is having an area of 2 sq km in the district of Andaman and was established in the year 1977. Long Island being the nearest town is about 60 kms while port blair will be having a distance of 200 kms, where the airport is also found. Dolphin, lizard, water monitor, dugong, etc are the fauna found in this park. People can visit the park during the months of December till April.

Since the weather in the region, is usually milder almost all the year round, but the best time for coming to this locations is from 1 december  to 30 April.

How To Get There
Visiting the Middle Button Island national park is best done in the months from January to March, because by the end of March month, there are rolling seas due to heavy and rough winds, which are the scenes before the arrival of monsoon.

Since, accommodations availabilities are absent in the park, people should try and visit the park from Long Island during the day and return back. There is a rest house being constructed presently. Camping is allowed by visitors should get their own camps for spending the night in their tents.
