Wildlife Sanctuaries In India


   India being a country of sub-tropical climate enjoying beautiful weather conditions at every part of the country all throughout the year, is rich with as many as 96 National Parks, distributed in different regions starting from Himalayas in the North, reaching the south in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu.

Uttarachal State's Corbett National Park is situated in the Ramaganga Valley closer to the Himalayas, which is 263 km North East of New Delhi and this beautiful wild life sanctuary can be reached by Road, Rail or Air from any part of the country, while it is inhabited by some of the most endangered animal species and bird varieties.
West Bengal, now called Paschim Bangla, is in proud possession of Buxa Tiger Reserve, which will excite wild life lovers with a large number of tiger groups which one might not have seen anywhere in the world.
Uttar Pradesh, the biggest state of India, has with it Dudhwa National Park in its Lakhimpur Kheri District in its northern region, running closer to Indo Nepal border, is just 201 km from Luknow, its capital city, where from one can reach this wild life sanctuary by road, while this National Park has approach from Delhi through various other popular cities of Uttar Pradesh, such as Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Rampur or Bareilly.


A    As one comes down to the south west of Saurashtra Peninsula, Gujarat offers the Gir National Park, exciting the visitor with large varieties of Lion, which can also be reached by air, rail or road, from Ahmedabad its most important city or from any other part of the country by road, through Gujarat’s other beautiful cities such as Bagodra, Limbdi or Sayla, Rajkot or Gondal, equally from Junagadh or Mendarda.
Tamilnadu hosts Indira Gandhi National Park, also referred as Anamalai National Park, which is a Wild life Sanctuary, giving scope to visitors to see with awe, a large number of Elephant herds, which are the proud natives of Kerala forests, but wonderful residents of Tamilnadupark.
Madhya Pradesh is another state rich with forestry of rare woods and animals, Kanha National Park, being a Wild Life Sanctuary of this State, part of the eastern section of the Satpura Range in Central India, occupying  the eastern sector of the State, situated 980 km from New Delhi, 480 Km from Bhopal and just 27 km from Nagpur, with easy access by road, rail or air from anywhere in the country.
Sikkim having Khangchendzonga National Park on one side,  Rajasthan holding Ranthambore National Park on the other side of the North, Dachigam National Park in the Jammu and Kashmir Region at the top, while Eravikulam National Park in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India is endowed with a number of Wild life Sanctuaries, which gives scope for the animal, bird and reptile lovers a great choice of Wildlife tourism.
